And a party isn’t a party without guests: Krisztina de Châtel has invited Stephen Shropshire and Michele Pogliani to make a guest choreography, especially for her jubilee programme. Tomorrow’s dance talent will also be present: interns from the Rotterdam Dance Academy will perform alongside de Châtel dancers in Giubileo.
Kalota – Krisztina de Châtel In her new choreography Krisztina de Châtel again chooses piano music by the Austro-Hungarian composer György Ligeti as an inspiration and leitmotiv.
Worth – Stephen Shropshire Music also forms the inspiration in Stephen Shropshire’s new choreography: in this work he uses A Lone Cello by Eric Moe, a contemporary American composer who is often dubbed the maximum minimalist.
The Arena Love – Michele Pogliani Michele Pogliani’s new choreography explores the arena of love. Love determines life: socially, politically and especially religiously, and reveals man in different roles: seduction, sensuality, tenderness, but also disguise, intrigue and manipulation.
