The three choreographies Boerka in landschap (Burka in landscape), Solo in perspectief (Solo in perspective) and Duet in plexiglazen koker (Duet in Plexiglas cylinder) highlight sensuality, desires, being different and a quest for personal liberation: themes that are narrowly related to the exhibition ‘Gewoon anders’.

The solo Boerka in landschap combines dance and architecture. Krisztina de Châtel originally made this solo for the Belvédère Museum in Heerenveen. Now the choreography, danced by Francesca Monti and accompanied by Heleen Hulst on violin and viola, will be staged in the green and water-rich environment of the Cobra Museum and the exhibition space.

Massimo Molinari’s choreography Solo in perspectief will also take on a new form, a new perspective, in the Cobra Museum.
Duet in plexiglazen koker is about freedom and limitations: the Plexiglas cylinder forms an obstacle between two men but also constantly offers them visual and physical contact.
