The performance Gradual and Persistent Loss of Control has been selected for the Dutch Dance Days which are to be held on 7, 8 and 9 October in Maastricht. The programme of the Dance Days is composed of a selection of highlights from the 2004/2005 season. Gradual and Persistent Loss of Control was performed twice a week as part of the Egon Schiele exhibition (25 March – 19 June 2005) in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Both the public and the media were enthusiastic about the performance, which was well-attended.
The Dutch Dance Days about Gradual and Persistent Loss of Control:
“Selected because… the collaboration between Krisztina de Châtel and performance artist Marina Abramović led to a sensual performance of the highest quality. The work is inspired by the work of Egon Schiele, but goes far beyond simply quoting the artist.”
